Newbie Organics is a novel idea, coming from a non-farming background to develop a model that reconnects consumers and producers to gain an appreciation for quality food produced in a manner beneficial to the environment and to wildlife

What drives us?

From twenty years’ experience working in the sustainability sector, we have seen how the conventional, global food system is an unsustainable model and more and more vulnerable to severe disruptions.

The problem

Food production has been driven by the need to produce an abundance of food, keep the price of that food extremely low and disconnect the consumer from the production process. There is a better way which we hope to be a part of…..

The facts

One-third of food produced for human consumption is lost or wasted globally. This amounts to about 1.3 billion tons per year, worth approximately €1 trillion. All the food produced but never eaten would be sufficient to feed two billion people. That's more than twice the number of undernourished people across the globe.

The end goal

A start up Organic Farm with strong social media base that engages and educates on the production of food. Adhere to the Organic farming principles of health, ecology, fairness and care. Direct selling business model for Farm boxes using fully compostable packaging. Innovative concept of “foster a furrow” scheme developed and integrated to corporate CSR programmes. Initial letters of intent of 3 large organisations secured prior to conversion process highlighting the interest for sustainable alternative employee support schemes.
